Bases and Sliders

At Vintage Seats we are extremely cautious about your safety and strive to make or use the best components in our builds. For our base plates we offer custom built powder coated steel bases in several configurations. The standard for all cars is the flat style base with 16 inch center to center of the seat sliders / rails. We can provide both the base as well as new Recaro slider rails. Ours sliders are double lock sliders with a single pull bar connected to both slider rails to add safety and keep you firmly secured in your seat.

Our custom bases come in three types. First up is our standard style attached to your STOCK chassis location then to the sliders which allow movement forward and backward. Second, for the Early 911’s we offer a “Lightweight” base that allows for a bit lower seating position from the stock location and the same slider movement forward and backward.

Finally, all 911’s can be fitted with a Tip/Tilt base for ultimate flexibility and use of your back seat / luggage area. Again made of steel and powder coated for durability. This base allows the seat to slide forward and backward as others do but also tip the whole seat upward from the back edge to allow easy and large size access to the rear of the car. Our Tip / Tilt bases are designed at the highest level providing a double lock mechanism which secures the seat in the down and locked position at both sides of the rear of the seat.
