356-GT & 356 Speedster Seat

This 356 GT seat will fit any 356 model from Pre A to C. It’s faithfully reproduced off a real GT seat. It offers great support while still allowing you to enter/exit the car with ease.

We begin with a high quality fiberglass seat shell that is cast from an original factory GT seat ensuring that every seat we manufacture is identical. This makes upholstering a real pleasure. There is no need to sculpt and pad seats to look like a seat pair which is often the case when re-upholstering rusted and bent original seats.

We use today's technologies to build the seat shells and use extra reinforcements to make it far superior to the shells of the 60's. Most of the original shells have been invloved in accidents and then having the stresses of flexing and cracking making them less safe for today's driving.

Upholstery of the seat is handled by our master upholsters. You are guaranteed exceptional quality of work and we use the same German materials one would find on an original seat. Each seat's foam and upholstery is hand stitched and fitted. This is not a mass production item. Each seat has a lot of time and care put into them and as such, they come out looking great (see the picture below). The seat shown has (readily available) new Recaro sliders and bases mounted. It's ready to bolt in.

Client popularity and variety of styles involved restoring the 356 model we now offer a “Speedster” style version of our 356 bucket seat.  The Speedster was previously an “option”, but deserves full style status today.  Varying from the 356-GT seat, the Speedster is upholstered with a “flatter style” of cushion inserts.  Style and function are also enhanced by the two vertical “cutouts” in the back insert.  These cutouts are carefully upholstered by our master craftsman.  All material choices are available on the Speedster seat.  Squareweave carpet backs can also be executed with cutouts and fashionable pieces to blend the carpet and binding well with the rest of the carpet in your car.
